I was very young then. We used to sneak to dance parties. Since we were very young and small, we were not allowed to enter the house. So we remained outside in the cold the whole night!. The language did not matter then, just the music.

I really miss boo boo, he was funny , but really serious about his music, I remember being in his big star recording on Joy Rd back in the day, and this fantastic guitarist name Rick Ross, who now plays with some of the big name groups to this day, starting playing this Jimi Hendrix type solo on boo boo song when they were recording, Boo Boo stops and and yells out to Ricky, I don't want that rock stuff, this is the blues baby,,,,,, don't do it again, lol. Ricky Ross was also the guitarist on hamilton bohannon , let's start the dance.

@AlgiersT504 I think the reason you can't find it is because Douglas Bellar originally titled the song as 'Mon Camon La Case Que Je Sui Cordáne' (My Gun Is The Reason Why I Am Convicted), which was the B-Side to 'La Valse La Prison' (Vocalion 15947) recorded on October 2, 1929. This track only seems available on the 2-CD collection "Zydeco. Black Creole, French Music & Blues, 1929-1972 " (Frémeaux & Associés ‎- FA 5616), that I noted previously (that also includes Bellar's 'La Valse La Prison'). [Austin Pitre & The Evangeline Playboys seems to have first covered the song in 1959 as 'Flum De Faire (Flames of Hell)' (Swallow S-6312) with numerous covers of 'Les Flammes D'enfer' following.] Douglas Bellar and Kirby Riley also recorded -- 'Jolie Fille Qui Ta Fa Avec Moi' / 'Je Marche Nuit Et Jour' -- on October 2, 1929 that was released as single Vocalion 15853. It's not certain if these performances have ever been included in any current (or previous) Cajun/Creole/Zydeco music compilations. -- One blog notes that the song stems from an old Creole song known as 'Adieu Rosa'. Musician Wade Fruge, influenced by Bellard, discusses the song's origin and a story: I learned what they call 'Les Flammes d'Enfer' from a black fiddle player [Douglas Bellar]. It's a copy of another song called 'Adieu, Rosa'. He'd play it in a one step, not a two step like people play it today. Today, it's played faster.' -- From 'Adieu Rosa', the song broke off into four music paths of variously named covers (including 'Mon Camon La Case Que Je Sui Cordáne' >>> 'Flum De Faire') -- 'Arcadian One Step' by Joseph Falcon, 1929 >>> 'Madame Donnez Moi Les' by Angelas LeJeune, 1930 >>> 'Madam Entelle Two Step' by Shuk Richard & Marie Falcon, 1952; 'Demain C'Est Pas Dimanche' by Leo Soileau & Moise Robin, 1929 >>> 'Petit Ou Gros' by Leo Soileau, 1935; 'Adieu Rosa' by Dennis McGee & Ernest Fruge, 1929; 'Ella a Plurer Pour Revenir' by Percy Babineaux & Bixy Guidry, 1929 -- You'll have to track down all of those recordings, to see how they are all compare to 'Les Flammes D'enfer'.

@AlgiersT504 I don't follow you. What did you find? The Thompson Square CD is available there, but not an MP3 of the Douglas Bellard/Kirby Riley performance (though various cover versions are available). If you wanted the Frémeaux & Associés CD, you'd have to get it through Discogs, since it's a French label. I have several CDs from that French label and they are all excellent compilations.

The song is included on either the 3-LP collection (with 36 tracks) -- "Aimer Et Perdre: To Love & To Lose: Songs, 1917-1934 " (Angry Mom Archives -- AMA 02) Or the 2-CD collection (same title) that was published on (Tompkins Square ‎- TSQ 2653) Tompkins Square still is selling the CD collection for $25+S&H -- The collection includes Cajun, Folk, Polka, Klezmer, and Country songs described as 'pre-war music of the Cajun bayous, the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine and Poland, and the American rural countryside'. -- The song is also included in the 2-CD collection (with 48 Louisiana Blues & Zydeco tracks) -- "Zydeco. Black Creole, French Music & Blues, 1929-1972 " (Frémeaux & Associés ‎- FA 5616) -- Or consider both!
